full day of asynchronous learning rather than a half-day. The reason for this change is due to CSDE requiring teachers to be assessed in the Foundations of Reading Survey. Teachers will be taking this proctored assessment on March 15.
As a special treat on this asynchronous day-elementary students will have the opportunity to engage in a pre-recorded science show performed by DOKTOR KABOOM. Click here to see his website. Board of Education Budget
The Board of Education will discuss the Superintendent s Proposed Budget and adopt a budget on Monday, February 22. The Board of Education will present their Budget to the Board of Selectman on Wednesday, February 24. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.
School Status
Elementary school students will continue in the full in-person learning model. SRMS and ERMS continue to remain in hybrid. RHS also remains hybrid; however, due to the number of families who are opting for Temporary Remote Cohort C, families choosing in-person cohort A/B are able to attend five days in person, so long as RHS attendance rates remain low and can accommodate this option. Families should contact their child s school counselor at RHS with any questions. ....

Budget Announcement
It is that time of year again when we meet to review the goals and objectives on how to best serve the needs of our students both collectively and individually. We have begun our process of meeting with each cost center and are working on developing a plan for the next fiscal budget year. After all the collaborative hard work and many meetings the Superintendent will be presenting the results of this plan to the Board of Education on January 11, 2021 at the regularly scheduled Board meeting. As always, we welcome your input and support as we progress through the budget process. Please tune in to our virtual budget workshop on Saturday, January 23, 2021, as each of the cost centers explain their budget requests to the Board of Education. ....
