A proud veteran, long time resident of Bartholomew County, friend, and servant of Bartholomew County has died. Carroll “C.L.” Green, 93, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Irene Green, and 5 siblings.
He is survived by his loving family; two daughters Carol (Warren) Hoobyar and Teresa Mayfield; two grandchildren Ryan (Michelle) Mayfield and Leslie (Eric) Burton; he celebrated 14 great-grandchildren; as well as his previous spouse and family friend Dorothy Green.
Mr. Green was born June 11, 1927 in Story City, Iowa, the son of Samuel and Clara Nielson Green. He was a member of Mountain Baptist Church in Seymour, Indiana. C.L. came to Bartholomew County in 1957 to serve as the county’s Conservation Officer. He was a trusted and awarded car salesman as well. C.L.’s heart was farming and he won the 1980 Noblett Forestry Award. His home grown produce ....
