CARTHAGE, N.Y. (WWNY) - On Friday, 7 News got a closer look at the old Carthage mill where a chemical fire was brewing.
It has now been 10 days since the fire that prompted a shelter in place order for the twin villages.
The now-condemned building has caution tape around it to keep people out.
We asked village officials where things go from here. They say they’re waiting for more reports to come in before they comment. ....

CARTHAGE, N.Y. (WWNY) - A homeless man, with a history of arrests, is accused of setting fire to his mother’s garage in Carthage Thursday night.
Village police arrested Cole Sheltray and charged him with third-degree arson in connection with the fire. The garage, located at 332 North School Street, was destroyed.
Sheltray was also charged with second-degree disobeying a court order and first-degree reckless endangerment.
According to the police department’s arrest report, Sheltray appeared to be under the influence of drugs when he was taken into custody. ....
