There’s a new housing option in Rohnert Park. On May 12 the city’s largest affordable housing project, Redwoods at University District, located at 6024 Kerry Rd. was officially unveiled.
The 218-unit development, which began construction in December of 2018, has been in the works for nearly 20 years and includes a fitness center, playgrounds, BBQs/picnic areas, a dog run and community center. 
The complex will serve those in the very low- and low-income bracket, adding to the city’s inventory of affordable housing. At least half of the apartments are set-aside for individuals making about $38,000 per year, and $54,000 for families of four. The other half are restricted to individuals earning no more than $53,000 annually and $76,000 for families of four. ....
