Dragon Art Fair 4:00 PM January 11, 2019 Following a year s hiatus, the annual summer fete hosted by Dragon Arts Group s returns with about 80 vendors and the scholarship fundraiser silent auction in the park pavilion (closing at 2 p.m.). The event also includes food carts and entertainment by Ultimate Leap Dance Center students (11:30 a.m.) and The Artesians (1 p.m.). press release: We are back at Fireman s Park on June 5, 2021! âFrom 9AM-4PM, there will be artist booths within the park and on the adjacent street. Booths will be spread out more than usual but we ll still have just over 80 artists! The Dragon Art Fair Information Booth will be located in the small shelter on the north side of the park. Wednesday morning at 9:38, Randy Hunt sent out a text message to everyone he had texted during the past year. The message read: âUpdate from Randy Hunt: Sold the CPA practice December 1. Sold the house this week. Relocated to Quincy where weâll relax and figure out next steps. It was my honor to serve as state representative and our pleasure to be part of the Sandwich community for 22 years. Stay safe and stay in touch.â Reached by phone later that morning, Mr. Hunt said he sent the message to mark the momentous day. âFor the first time since I was a teenager, Iâm unemployed,â he said. âThis is Day 1.â ....
Three headstones found this week on adjoining properties on West Hickory Street and North State Boulevard brought a halt to development of an apartment building due to concerns bodies may have been buried there. âThe stones were just sitting there,â said Brad Abell, an employee of Circle M Metals, a Dallas company that specializes in demolitions. âIâm religious, so I was not going to disturb a gravesite.â For several days, Circle M Metals had been razing three houses built in the mid-20th century at that corner near the University of North Texas when it was nearing the end of its work. Abell said he found a headstone on Monday at the edge of the property line next to another home and another on the fence line separating that property and the three others that had been demolished. ....
Erda owners buy The Brothers’ building ♦ In what may look like restaurant dominoes, The Brothers on Tooele City’s Main Street will close and Virg’s Restaurant from Erda will open in The Brothers former location. The Brothers will look for a new location to continue their business in Tooele, according to Adriana Cruz, manager of The Brothers and wife of the owner, Jose Giron. David Law, owner of Virg’s, purchased the building at 29 Main Street in Tooele where The Brothers is now operating. Law recently received notice after 16 months of a month-to-month rental arrangement with the owners of the building in Erda where Virg’s is located that his rental arrangement for Virg’swould be terminated as of Dec. 31. ....
