On Dec. 6, 2019, Raven Sizemore lost her sister Cally Dawn Wilson and witnessed her niece getting treatment for her injuries. The cause of the accident, a head-on collision on Old Red Cross Road. Sizemore remembers being in band class at Randleman High School, where she was checked out and told to come to the hospital. Later finding out her sister had passed away. My sister s husband called my brother at school and told him there had been an accident, but no one was aware of Cally’s death at that point, Sizemore said. After getting to the hospital and being told, we were in shock. ....
As eligibility for the vaccine expands to anyone 16 or older, Randolph County Public Health is increasing community outreach by setting up temporary vaccination sites in local schools. By partnering with Randolph County Public Health and allowing them to use Asheboro City School facilities to offer free vaccines to students, the institution feels they are helping in the fight against COVID-19. Miklos Alexander Billings, 28, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021. Born on Sept. 17th, 1992, they were the child of Christopher Billings and Stephanie Kastner Watt. Miklos graduated from Randleman High School in 2011, with grades ranked 14th out of 161 in their class. They went on to earn a bachelorâs degree in music technology from the University of North Carolina in Asheville. They graduated from UNCA cum laude in 2015. A passionate and dedicated musician from childhood, Miklos often played live music in and around Asheville, where they resided. With an innate talent and an enthusiasm for learning, they seemed to excel at every instrument they played. They had an insight into the foundations of music and a skill with performance and recording that amazed everyone who encountered their work.
