Students of Month

The New Oxford-Conewago Valley Rotary Club recognizes high school seniors from New Oxford and Bermudian Springs high schools each month based on academic achievement, school leadership, extra-curricular involvement, community service and character.
The students recognized in April are Selena Rosario from New Oxford High School and Myles Avery from Bermudian Springs High School.
Rosario was presented by Dr. Layla Britton, faculty sponsor.
Rosario is a member of the National Honor Society and student council. She is also a member of the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society which is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of social studies. She is the captain of the Speech and Debate Team. ....

Fleetwood High honors April Students of the Month

Kylie Frain
Kylie is the daughter of Barry and Stacey Frain of Blandon. Kylieâs future plans include attending Kutztown University.
Kylie has been involved in the following clubs and activities at Fleetwood Area High School: Film Club President, Interact Club, Future Business Leaders of America, National Art Honor Society (NAHS), NAHS President, Artifact, Sustainable Students and National Honor Society.

Also, Kylie has dedicated herself to the community by being actively involved in Girl Scouts for 13 years and volunteering at Helping Harvest and the Fleetwood Library.
Kylie states that she admires director, Chole Zhao because she a huge inspiration for her. Kylie said that Chole is the second woman and the first woman of color to ever win best director at the Oscars. During her speech, she told a story about how she and her father used to recite Chinese poems to each other. She spoke about one that began with äººä¹åï¼æ ....

BERLIN, CT Each year, two seniors from each member high school are selected to represent their school as the Connecticut Association of Schools – Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CAS-CIAC) Scholar-Athletes. Selection criteria include exemplary academic and athletic careers; personal standards and achievements that are a model to others; and high levels of integrity, self-discipline, and courage. Berlin High School is proud to announce that this year s Scholar-Athlete Award recipients are Jacob Lindsay and Jenna Zup. Both Jacob and Jenna are exemplary students and athletes who maintain a healthy, productive balance between academic and extracurricular activities so they can put their best efforts into all of their commitments. Jacob and Jenna will be recognized as the Berlin High Scholar-Athletes during a virtual event that will be broadcast via local television in the near future. ....
