It was the first no-hitter for SWB since Jeremy Cummings no-hit Rochester on Sept. 3, 2006, and the first no-no for the franchise under the Yankees affiliation. It was also the first combined no-hitter in franchise history.

Behind Patrick Mazeika’s two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning and Mason Williams’s go-ahead RBI single in the tenth, the Syracuse Mets took the series finale against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 9-8, in ten innings while also winning the seven-game series, 4-3. It was the third extra-inning game of the series, with the Mets winning all three.
Syracuse (19-40) scored the game’s decisive run in the top of the tenth inning. After an adventurous nine innings, the score was tied, 8-8, heading to the tenth. César Puello started the inning at second base as Syracuse’s free runner teams get in extras. Puello moved to third base on an Orlando Calixte groundout to second. The 2,395 fans at NBT Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon saw another thrilling game, but unfortunately another Mets extra-inning loss, as the Buffalo Bisons beat the Syracuse Mets, 9-7, in 11 innings.
Buffalo (27-19) scored two runs in the top of the first inning for the second straight game. Brevic Valera hit a leadoff single. After Kevin Smith flew out, Christian Colón lifted a two-run home run over the left-center-field wall to give the Bisons an early 2-0 lead.
