Then a global pandemic began, parts of construction were delayed, materials arrived late, and the grand opening was pushed from Memorial Day weekend to June. But those are all in the rearview mirror now following a soft opening over the weekend and a ribbon-cutting on Monday night. Parks and Recreation Director Rodney Sadler thanked city staff members, construction workers and architects on Monday night. And after addressing those people, he thanked the citizens of Kirksville for supporting the project and remaining patient and welcomed them to the new Kirksville Aquatic Center. ....

Tower Lease agreement The council approved a tower lease agreement with US Cellular, the second of three planned agreements between the city and cell phone corporations.
