The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Wightman Road mosque last Wednesday to recognise and support the work they ve undertaken encouraging the community to get the coronavirus vaccine.
Camilla, was welcomed by Sister Bibi Khan, President of the London Islamic Society, and saw how the organisation has supported their community through the pandemic.
Members of the mosque have helped those in need by distributing food hampers as well as providing counselling and advice to those struggling.
The mosque was also the first to hold a pop-up vaccine centre in the area to encourage those reluctant to be vaccinated to come forward. ....

The Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to Wightman Road Mosque on Wednesday to see how members of the Muslim community have supported vulnerable residents during the pandemic.
Her Royal Highness helped prepare gift hampers, which will be sent to frontline NHS staff, the homeless and refugee children during the holy month of Ramadan.
The period of fasting, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is likely to begin on Tuesday (April 13) – dictated by the sighting of the new moon.

The Duchess of Cornwall got a hands-on demonstration of the coronavirus vaccination roll out during a visit to north London. But she had to confront her fear of needles as she helped mix doses of the vaccine during a tour of a Tottenham vaccine centre.
Camilla was given a tour of the Lordship Lane Primary Care Centre which has been administering the jab to the local community as the programme to get all adults in the UK vaccinated in the coming months continues. During her visit the Duchess, who has admitted to her phobia before, jumped slightly as she came face to face with a large needle. The Duchess of Cornwall donned a headscarf and a pair of fluffy black slippers for a visit to a London mosque today.
Camilla, 73, looked elegant in the monochrome ensemble as she met local schoolchildren and volunteers at Wightman Road Mosque.
In accordance with the mosque s rules, the Duchess of Cornwall removed her flat black suede boots and put on a pair of fluffy £19 slippers from online e-tailer Pour Moi.
The footwear featured a twinkling jewel and pretty bow detailing.
