Healthcare Management professor elected Trinity Health board chairman | News

Dr. LeJon Poole, Director of the Healthcare Management Program at the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, was elected to the board for Trinity Health’s Continuing Care as chairman beginning January 2021.
Trinity Health is an American not-for-profit Catholic health system operating 93 hospitals in 22 states, including 120 continuing care locations encompassing home care, hospice, PACE and senior living facilities. Based in Livonia, Michigan, Trinity Health employs more than 120,000 people including 5,300 physicians.
In commenting on his new role with Trinity Health, LeJon said “”My appointment as Board Chairman of Continuing Care at Trinity Health in Livonia, MI enables me to positively impact the health and well-being of those we serve at the local, state, and national level. Campbell community exceeds million dollar 2021 Giving Day challenge | News

For the fourth consecutive year the Campbell University office of annual giving has successfully topped its fundraising goal for the annual Campbell Giving Day.
Held on Feb. 3 as part of the university’s annual Founders Week, nearly 1,800 donors contributed more than $1.5 million on Campbell Giving Day to the Fund for Campbell, student scholarships, every Campbell school and college, all 21 athletic teams, and many other initiatives.
The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences brought in over $100,000 in gifts and the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business over $75,000. Among Campbell’s athletic teams, wrestling received over $100,000 in commitments, while softball and volleyball took in about $10,000 each. Business School to offer pilot finance program to teachers | News

Starting during the August 2021 school year, all high school students in North Carolina will be required to take a personal finance class before they can graduate. The Lundy-Fetterman School of Business is delighted to partner with the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE) to offer the National Personal Finance Challenge (PFC) Access Zone Pilot Program to Middle and High School teachers and their students in greater Harnett and surrounding counties in North Carolina.
In addition to a wealth of digital interactive online resources and lesson plans for teaching personal finance that focuses primarily on the Personal Finance Challenge, participants will be hearing from Business School faculty and enjoy conversing with the panel of industry professionals consisting of Business School alumni during Q&A sessions. ....

Lundy-Fetterman School of Business students Lucile Pons, Allison Lee, Garrett Wilson and Jonathan Gardner were named finalists in the Fall 2020 Stock Market Game (SMG) after spending their semester developing investment portfolios for the competition.
Campbell Business partnered with StockTrak.com, the global leader in financial education games, to give students simulated stock trading experience. The students used the StockTrak platform currently used by over 1,100 university classes each year, including 80 percent of the top business schools in the United States.
