Lagos State government has reiterated its commitment to bridging the exiting digital divide in the state by leveraging technologies to drive innovations that will assist the state in achieving its mission to build the Lagos Smart City that will digitally empower Lagosians.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Popoola Fahm, who gave the assurance in Lagos during the ministerial media briefing to mark the second year anniversary of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration recently, said the state government would continue to invest in projects and technology in order to provide digital skills for the people of Lagos. ....

By Olasunkanmi Akoni Lagos State Government said it has installed a 3,000 kilometre of Fibre Metro Network connection within the year 2020 across the state as part of the comprehensive Smart City Programme aimed at providing a 24-hour driven economy.
Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Fahm, in the company of Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovative and Technology, Tunbosun Alake, disclosed this on Tuesday, during the 2021 ministerial press briefing to commemorate the second year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration, held at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Fahm added that governments at all levels had been directed to adopt e-governance in order to effectively serve the citizens. ....

Lagos, May 4, 2021 The Lagos State Government is implementing the deployment of 6,000km of Fibre Metro Network connection across the state, the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr Hakeem Fahm, has said.
Fahm said this on Tuesday during the 2021 Ministerial Press Briefing to commemorate the second year in office of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration in Ikeja.
âThe state implemented a 3,000km of Fibre Metro Network connection in Year 2020 and additional 3,000km in Year 2021 across the state, as part of the comprehensive Smart City Programme that seeks to provide a 24-hour driven economy,â he said.
Fahm said that the implementation of Lagos State Smart City Project was to enable governance, connectivity and environmental security. ....

Lagos State government has enjoined governments at all levels to adopt e-governance in order to effectively serve the citizens, disclosing that the state implemented a 3,000 km of Fibre Metro Network connection in the Year 2020 and an additional 3,000km in the Year 2021 across Lagos.
