VANCOUVER British Columbia recorded another 123 cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, as the province s seven-day average continued to inch upward. There have been 148,154 coronavirus infections identified across B.C. since the start of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health said in a news release Monday. The latest cases pushed the province s rolling weekly average to 47 per day, which is an increase of 12 from one week ago. Prior to last week, the average plummeted for months after peaking at a record high of 1,130 per day back in April. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry previously noted that B.C. was likely to experience a slight uptick in cases after the province relaxed many of its COVID-19 rules and restrictions.

B.C.’s COVID-19 update for July 8
As of Thursday, July 8, 78.4% (3,635,811) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 40.0% (1,854,387) received their second dose.
B.C. is reporting 59 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 147,915 cases in the province.
There are currently 649 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 145,491 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, 74 individuals are currently in hospital and 19 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
The new/active cases include: 19 new cases in Interior Health (total active cases: 175);

B.C.’s COVID-19 update for July 7
As of today (Wednesday, July 7), 78.2% (3,631,452) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 38.2% (1,772,595) received their second dose.
B.C. is reporting 59 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 147,856 cases in the province.
There are currently 624 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 145,455 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, 86 individuals are currently in hospital and 20 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
The new/active cases include: 17 new cases in Interior Health (total active cases: 163);
B.C. health officials announced 46 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Health said there are currently 602 active COVID-19 cases in B.C.
A total of 87 people are in hospital, with 22 in intensive care.
Overall hospitalizations, which typically lag behind spikes and dips in new cases, are down by 21 per cent from last Tuesday, when 110 people were in hospital with the disease.

As of Monday, July 5, 78.0% (3,613,370) of eligible people 12 and older in the province have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 36.0% (1,668,268) received their second dose.
Over a three-day period, B.C. is reporting 87 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 147,790 cases in the province: July 2-3: 30 new cases; July 3-4: 37 new cases; July 4-5: 20 new cases.
There are currently 652 actives cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 145,362 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, there are 85 individuals currently in hospital and 22 in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
