Revesby Country Fair postponed until 2022

The event, which usually takes place on the first Sunday in August at Revesby Park, near Horncastle, has been postponed until August 7, 2022.
The organising committee came to the decision despite the easing of lockdown measures, because of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding large gatherings this summer.
Traders who have already booked stands will be offered a full refund or the option of rolling over their booking to next year.

John Roe, chairman of Revesby Country Fair, said: “After much consideration, the difficult decision has been taken to delay until 2022.
“The whole organising committee is saddened to have to postpone for a second year running, but our primary concern is the safety of everyone involved. ....

£120,000 still available for community groups responding to the needs of those living in Lincolnshire

Community support groups can still apply for funding from Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
Some of the successful applicants include Hogsthorpe Good Neighbour Scheme and Age UK Lindsey to support digital inclusion; Storehouse Church, Skegness will provide an advice service; Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes towards increased
overheads; Rotary Club (Skegness) to enable Christmas activities for children in nine primary schools; EDAN Lincs to help victims of domestic abuse: and telephone befriending for people who are visually impaired.
Groups can apply for up to £5,000 to support the ongoing needs of vulnerable people and successful projects might include those that address: loneliness and isolation, mental health support, financial hardship, digital exclusion and telephone befriending. Applicants can also ask for a contribution towards their core costs and overheads. ....
