Protestors speak out on plan to dismantle Kennedy Plaza

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Dozens gathered in Burnside Park Saturday afternoon to speak out against the Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s plan to break up the central transit hub at Kennedy Plaza.
Organizers said this new plan will make using public transportation much more difficult, and goes against what riders are hoping to see for basic improvements, such as more public bathrooms.
Gatherers said they are concerned for how splitting the hub will negatively impact riders who are handicapped or elderly. ....
