Carey, Taylor to experience action in NCAA Championships DaVante Carey. Bahamian collegiate swimmers DaVante Carey and Lamar Taylor will be in action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Swimming and Diving Championships set for March 17-20 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama. Carey swims for the McKendree University Bearcats and Taylor for the Henderson State University Reddies. Both will be swimming in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke events. Taylor also has the 100-yard freestyle event. The two are no strangers to big meets as both swam at the CARIFTA level with Carey also representing The Bahamas at the 2019 Pan American Games and Taylor representing The Bahamas at the 2019 FINA (International Swimming Federation) World Junior Swimming Championships. ....
