34 COVID-19 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 34 additional cases of COVID-19, of which 29 are locally transmitted, including two more cases from Luk Yeung Sun Chuen in Tsuen Wan.
 
At a press briefing this afternoon, the centre s Communicable Disease Branch Head Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan said among the local cases, eight have unknown sources of infection.
 
She noted that two of the newly reported cases are from Block R at Luk Yeung Sun Chuen, bringing the number of infection cases of the same block to 12.
 
Quarantine orders will be issued to asymptomatic residents of units 04 and 05 above the 18th floor of Block R and they will be taken to quarantine centres, while symptomatic residents will be sent to the hospital for treatment. ....
