But, thanks to what he terms the greatest set of grandparents in the world, Gastonia, particularly west Gastonia, holds a very large place in his heart.
And, when the Honey Hunters open their Atlantic League professional baseball season at the new FUSE stadium over Memorial Day weekend, area residents will receive two gifts from Miller.
One is an authentic 1949 Hammond organ which he has given to the ballpark.
The second will be his playing of the organ that weekend and on select nights during the remainder of the season, bringing a bit of old-fashioned fun to a sparkling new ballpark. ....

Louisburg mother questions COVID-19 photographing policy undisclosed to parents

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â A mother in the Louisburg School District is questioning a COVID-19 policy that involves photographing students, which was not disclosed to parents.
âWho has the pictures? What happens to them? How long do we keep them, Tiffany Ellison said.
Ellison said she contacted the Louisburg High School principal after her daughter told her the Wildcats track coach was taking a group photo of her and other student-athletes at practice for contact-tracing purposes.
âThereâs not a policy on picture taking for COVID-19 tracing and school districts are not given the freedom to take pictures for COVID-19 tracing purposes, and in fact they are really not allowed to COVID-19 trace, Ellison said. ....

Louisburg, N.C. If you re not from Franklin County, or if you haven t spent much time around high school football in Franklin County, you may not know much about the rivalry between Louisburg High School and Bunn High School, but it is a special one.
Like many great high school rivalries, when it s Bunn week in Louisburg, the entire community talks about the game.
I can attest to it in both ways I ve put the jersey on and I ve played in a Louisburg-Bunn game as a player, and I ve coached in it for years now, almost 15 years, Louisburg football coach Dontae Lassiter said. ....
