(TNN) - Cotton County officials showed Walters High School students how drinking and driving can change lives forever with a deadly wreck simulation on Monday. The possibility of adding a Building Permits, Zoning and Nuisance Officer for the Town of Hanover was proposed by Clerk-Treasurer Keith Mefford at last weekâs meeting of the Hanover Town Council. âI would encourage that because weâre starting to pick up a lot of development,â said Mefford, who noted that this year there have already been 11 new building permits, which he said is a significant increase considering that there were 30 total last year. He said the position would provide a means to âdo the detail work for the community,â which Mefford said will help to move the town forward.
