UPDATE (12-27-2020): The missing Boise family who was found safe stuck in the snow in rural Boise County released a statement today. It reads:
“We are feeling well, still a bit tired, and sore but otherwise doing good. As for our experience, for us we were actually fine, we were never in any danger, and were not worried or scared. Our biggest worry and fear was that we could not contact anyone to let them know this. Our families and friends, and well so many other people also, were worried, and scared for us, and we are so very sorry for that. We spent the night in the truck, keeping warm by turning on the truck for heat when we got cold. We are truly grateful for the people who helped get us out, they were amazing. Unfortunately though, I did not get their names, and they refused any kind of repayment, just saying that they were just glad to help us. We were tru ....

Missing Idaho family found safe

Great news! Marcus, Mindy, Ambria and Scout have been found safe and are heading home. The family spent the night in their truck near Spring Shores after getting stuck. Snowmobilers found them today and were able to pull them out. Thank you to everyone who called in tips, kept an eye out and shared the message.

The Army Corps of Engineers has tabled plans to create a trail near Lucky Peak Dam, according to documents shared publicly by the Idaho Wildlife Federation on Tuesday.
In a document dated Nov. 20, Lt. Col. Richard Childers, district commander for the Corps’ Walla Walla district, opted to implement a “no action alternative” on the proposed 15-mile trail. The trail, which has been in talks since 2017, would have started near Lucky Peak Dam at Lydle Gulch and followed the south shore of Lucky Peak to the Chimney Rock camping area across from Spring Shores Marina. ....
