GCET finishes wiring Deerfield Street, headed to Bernardston Road

GREENFIELD Deerfield Street residents will be able to apply for Greenfield Community Energy and Technology (GCET) services like cable and internet starting later this month.
Owned and run by the city, GCET is finishing the work along Deerfield, Washington, Mill, Meridian and Water streets, as well as Petty Plain Road and parts of Colorado and Bonneville avenues.
GCET General Manager John Lunt told city councilors who serve on the council’s Ways and Means Committee last week that more than 85 percent of the city now has access to GCET, which offers internet service, internet and cable bundles, and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone service to residents and some businesses. ....
