WAYNESBORO Waynesboro is putting itself on the Amazon map with a new delivery station coming later this year. 
So what will that mean for the city?
Late last year, Amazon announced a new delivery station would be located at the former Kmart in Waynesboro. In December 2020, it was confirmed that Amazon had leased the former 384,094 square foot Kmart at 2712 W. Main St. to operate as a delivery station slated to open sometime in 2021.
The Kmart retail store closed in late 2018 as part of a nationwide restructuring. It has sat empty since then. ....
