TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Virginia Meyer as the 12th Lightning Community Hero this season during the first period of tonight s game against the Nashville Predators. Berry, who received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, presented by Jabil, will donate the money to the Abilities Foundation.
Meyer grew up in a family dedicated to the service of this country and because of it, has always had a soft spot for our nation s military and veteran communities.
