ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday said that the government was taking steps on priority basis to promote those industries which have been the main source of value -added exports items.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Tanners Association, the prime minister said due to positive and business friendly policies of the incumbent government, the industrial wheel was moving at fast pace, yielding tangible improvement as indicated from the economic indicators. ....

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh chaired the meeting of the National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC) in Islamabad on Monday.

Finance Minister Orders Provinces to Monitor Egg and Vegetable Ghee Prices
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh chaired the meeting of the National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC) today.
The National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC) reviewed the price trend of essential commodities. The Finance Secretary apprised NPMC that there has been a consistent decline in the weekly SPI over the last four weeks. SPI registered a decline of 0.22%, notably in essential food commodities namely wheat, tomatoes, onions, potatoes and chicken.
The Finance Minister noted the increase in prices of eggs and vegetable ghee and urged the Provincial governments to strictly monitor their prices. The Chair further directed the Secretary Commerce to call a meeting with representatives of the Provincial governments and FBR to take further steps in this regard. ....

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 15 (Gwadar Pro) - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that the industrial development was vital for economic growth and government was committed to providing ease-of-doing-business to investors while chairing the 7th meeting of Board of Approvals for Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
The Prime Minister said economic activities generated by SEZs would increase job opportunities for local skilled and un-skilled labor. He directed to provide utility services, including electricity and gas to SEZs on priority.
The Board approved SEZ Zone Enterprise Admission and Sale / Lease of Plot Regulations 2020. The meeting approved the launching of online SEZ Management Information System whereby the approvals process would be digitalized and streamlined. ....
