ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Advisor to the Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razaq Dawood on Saturday said the government had set the exports target of US $ 35 billion for upcoming Fiscal Year 2021-22.
In current FY 2020-21, “We expect exports of US $ 30 billion, including US $25 billion exports in goods and US $ 5 billion in services sector” the Advisor commerce Abdul Razak Dawood said adding, that for the next fiscal year (2021022) they have enhanced the exports target to US $ 35 billion. ....

The exports in May increased to US$1.657 billion compared to US $1.396 billion in May 2021.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Adviser to the Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razaq Dawood Friday said the country’s exports had increased by 14 percent to US$ 22.563 billion during July to May 2020-21, as compared to the same period in FY 2019-20.
On a monthly comparison with last year, in May 2021 the Exports increased by 18.7 percent to US$ 1.657 billion as compared to US1.396 billion in May 2020.
A consultative meeting was held by the Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razaq Dawood to review the trade trends at the Ministry of Commerce, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce. ....

Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement Extended for Three Months


Afghanistan and Pakistan on Thursday signed a protocol for
three-month extension of Afghanistan–Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement 2010
(APTTA) to facilitate movement of goods between the two countries.
The protocol was signed virtually , simultaneously at Kabul
and Islamabad, between Pakistan’s Commerce and Investment Advisor Abdul Razaq
Dawood and Afghanistan’s Industry and Commerce Minister Nisar Ahmad Ghoriyani.
“Both sides expressed satisfaction with the extension of the
agreement and decided that the technical teams of the two countries will
conclude the revised agreement soon,” said a statement from the Afghan embassy.

ISLAMABAD: The country s exports have crossed $2 billion mark four months running for the first time in the last eight years.
A consultative meeting was held by the Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razaq Dawood, via video link, to review the provisional (pre-PBS) trade data till the month of January 2021.
He was informed that exports in January 2021 have increased by 8% percent to USD2,135 million as compared to USD1,978 million in January 2020. He was informed that this is the first time in the last eight years that exports have crossed the $2 billion mark for four consecutive months. ....
