SRINAGAR : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired the 105th Board of Directors meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (JK-KVIB) at Sanat Ghar Bemina. Vice Chairperson, JKKVIB, Dr Hina Bhat; Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Secretary in Rural Development Department Ms. Rifat Arif, Director Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir, Registrar Cooperatives, Director Industries & Commerce Jammu, Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir, Director MSME and Secretary KVIB participated in the meeting. The Advisor directed the Board to extend hand holding to the educated unemployed youth of the UT, so that they can avail benefits from various schemes being implemented under the purview of Khadi and Village Industries sector. ....
Northlines 2 committees to approve registration of units till March 31, 2025 Jammu Tawi, Apr 05: The Government of India has unveiled operational guidelines for registration of units under the new central sector scheme for industrial development of Jammu & Kashmir. According to the guidelines, registration of units under the scheme shall commence from April 1, 2021 and will continue till September 30, 2024. “All application for registration shall be disposed of by 31.03.2025 unless otherwise extended,” reads the guidelines. Those willing to avail incentive(s) under the scheme have to apply for registration through online portal (jknis.dipp.gov.in) along with detailed project report, land documents bank loan sanction letter and other documents. ....

Srinagar: Webinar on International Mountain day was organised by Institution of Engineers (India) J&K State Centre, Srinagar, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department, J&K Mountaineering & Hiking Club and J&K State Emergency Operation Centre, Srinagar on Friday. The webinar was inaugurated by Chief Conservator of Forests Kashmir, Syed Farooq A Gillani, who appreciated the participants for showing keen interest towards conservation of biodiversity of forests and mountains and its resources. He said that mountains are the repositories of resources. He called the mountains “Jewels of Nature” and “Water Towers” but said that these resources are under constant threat by indiscriminate activities of humans. ....
