　　记者从中国铁路成都局集团有限公司获悉， 6月28日上午9时19分，随着D1758次列车驶出站台，绵阳至泸州高速铁路内江至自贡至泸州段（以下简称绵泸高铁内自泸段）正式开通运营。标志着四川南部城市群正式融入全国高铁网，川南城市群迈入半小时“朋友圈”。
　　绵泸高铁内自泸段位于四川省南部地区，北起内江市成渝城际铁路内江北站，向南经白马镇进入自贡市境内，再经富顺县进入泸州市境内，线路全长128公里，设内江北（既有）、内江东、白马北、自贡、富顺、泸县、泸州7座车站，运营时速250公里。

Hearing the news that a fellow visually impaired traveller lost his life after falling off the edge of a train platform makes me shudder. Just 12 months before that accident, I found myself in a similar situation but improved communication and better understanding could prevent others being put at risk.
In March 2019 I had to use a neighbouring train station as my line was closed. I’d never done a trip from there solo before as I usually had my trusty guide dog Kika by my side. That day, I only had my white cane for company. Familiar enough with the way into the station, I made my way up the ramp to the platform but then it almost all went wrong. I had no idea how far I could walk before I reached the edge of the platform and the train tracks. Why? Because there were no tactile markers on the floor. ....
