It hasn t been easy for some people who received their first COVID-19 vaccine to schedule the second shot needed to boost immunity.
They re frustrated and feeling overlooked and left behind, but health officials want to minimize concerns.
Appointments and second doses are guaranteed for those individuals who got their first shot at State Farm Stadium, Arizona s large-scale state-run site, officials say. And a change in approach should make the situation better for those who got shots there beginning Jan. 22.

BRENHAM, Texas â On Jan. 24, 2020, five-year-old Mason Von Swainâs world was changed drastically. The child was attacked by two dogs while playing at a family memberâs residence in his hometown of Brenham, and since then he has needed constant medical care, just to survive.
Heâs had free flap facial reconstruction, said Casey McDaniel of Brenham, Mason s mother. Which [that s when] they take from his thigh the muscle, the tissue, all the nerves, everything; and they basically connect the nerves that are in his face to that free flap. And that was one of the bigger surgeries. It was, like, 16 hours. Heâs had multiple skin grafts, heâs had a lot of eyelid reconstruction surgeries, and he has a lot more to go.
