A Kariega mother of newborn twins was arrested for human trafficking on Thursday after she allegedly tried to sell her five-day-old baby girls.
The mother, 35, her husband and the alleged prospective buyer, aged 35, were arrested after members of the Gqeberha and Kariega police received information of possible human trafficking taking place in central Kariega.

First-home buyers share of the property market has fallen to its lowest level in three years, but there is a suggestion moves to cool the market should lift their involvement.
The latest report from research firm CoreLogic shows first home buyers took 21.5 per cent of the market in the first three months of the year, the lowest since 2018, from recent high of 24.8 per cent.
Current market trends are forcing homebuyers and sellers to change their habits. Sellers rarely hold open houses. Buyers are having to offer more to stand out among the competition.
