Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch hosts Walk for Water fundraiser

Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch members and supporters, including an 8-year-old and an octogenarian, are getting creative raising money to bring clean water and sanitation to a village in Peru.
This year’s recipients for the annual Walk for Water event, which will be virtual this year, will be 3,600 people living in the community of Villa Talandracas, Peru. The cost to provide them with a sustainable water system is $150,000, and the money will come from local, Rotary District 6960 and Rotary International grant funding. The Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch currently serves as the host international club for eight similar projects in Peru. ....
