Meteorologist Chris Tomer gives us the run down on where will be the snowiest this weekend. The hot spot this week and weekend is the West. The Atmospheric River pattern is driving the overall forecast.

The Atmospheric River continues on Thursday and tapers-off on Friday. Blizzard Warnings remain in effect for the High Sierra from Tahoe to Mammoth. 50-100 inch grand totals. This includes Squaw Valley, Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Mammoth. Another storm system arrives late in the weekend or early next week. ....

The hot spot late this week and weekend is the Pacific Northwest where three different storm systems are lined-up. Three smaller storm systems will deliver consistent snow to the Northeast.

Three different storm systems are lined-up. This active pattern continues into next week as well. Heavy snow accumulation likely between Wednesday and Sunday. A few of the higher volcanoes and Cascade peaks could see over three feet of accumulation. Look to Mount Baker, Rainier, Steven s Pass, Mount Bachelor, and Whistler/Blackcomb. ....

A storm system departs on Wednesday with lingering light snow then a high pressure break. Wednesday is a powder day. Then a high pressure break until a storm system arrives on mid/late Saturday. Moderate snow accumulation at Snowbasin, Park City, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Steamboat, Aspen/Snowmass, Vail, Winter Park, and Loveland. Another storm races in by Monday.
