Retro Sound radio station to launch in South East Wales A new commercial radio station covering South East Wales is launching next week with a full line up of experienced presenters. Nick Wright will host the breakfast show, with the rest of the schedule populated by Gregg Upwards, Paul Robinson, Chris Moore, Tom Green, Leighton James, Diane Marks, James Amos, Matthew Morrissey, Mark Andrews and many more. CEO Ian Francis tells RadioToday Retro Sound is more about the style of radio that they’ll make. Broadcaster Rob Charles is taking over the breakfast show at online station All Oldies Radio. Rob Charles has been providing his syndicated “Songs That Don’t Get Played On The Radio Anymore” for the past few months at the station. Rob said: “I so love All Oldies Radio. The music library is massive and I’ll be taking full advantage of it as I’m honoured to start waking up the UK, 7am Weekdays from the 1st of February.” Director Russ Dee says the station will be joining DAB this year and has provided a station update for us. He said: “When Rob said yes to All Oldies Radio, it reconfirmed that we had something special that outstanding broadcasters want to be a part of. ....
Recently launched service Radio Travel News is expanding its audio bulletins service just a week after launching. The company has started providing more regional content for radio stations, with the addition of audio bulletins for services in the East of England. Radio Travel News is now heard on over 20 radio stations across the UK, including recently launched Cambridge and Norwich DAB station Rubix Radio along with established FM station Diverse FM. Both are now taking the new East bulletin, along with a new local version of News Radio UK on DAB in the region. Get Radio in Oxfordshire is also airing exclusive local bulletins, broadcast every 30 minutes at breakfast and drive, and hourly during the day for the county, whilst Beyond Radio in Lancashire is taking a regional service. ....
