Veteran's story remains example of God's protection

Marv Eden died in 2017, but I still appreciate what I learned from him years ago.
You may not have known Marv if you don’t attend Salem Lutheran Church or are part of the Fremont Kiwanis Club.
I met Marv after I was assigned to cover a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Service at the Lutheran church in 2009.
And he told me a story I’ve never forgotten.
Marv wasn’t at Pearl Harbor, but he was drafted in 1942.
While in the military, Marv was stationed on Biak — an island in between New Guinea and the Philippines.
Three airstrips were built on the small island, which is just 32 miles long and 8 miles wide. Marv and other men lived in tents on both sides of an airstrip in the center of the island. ....

Smiths Detection's BioFlash shown to detect airborne COVID-19

Smiths Detection s BioFlash shown to detect airborne COVID-19
Smiths Detection, a global leader in threat detection and security screening technologies, today reports that its BioFlash Biological Identifier is capable of detecting SARS-CoV-2 in the air following tests conducted by the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID).
The tests were performed using live SARS-CoV-2 virus in a Biosafety Level 3 containment area at Fort Detrick, Maryland. The SARS-CoV-2 CANARY biosensor used in the BioFlash device demonstrated that it can quickly detect and identify the presence of low levels of aerosolized SARS-CoV-2.
The BioFlash Biological Identifier is powered by CANARY technology (a cell-based biosensor) and is combined with proprietary aerosol-collection techniques to provide rapid, sensitive and specific identification of biological-threat agents including viruses, toxins and bacteria. ....

Towing a trailer with an electric vehicle can result in a range reduction as high as 50 percent. Considering that most EVs these days still cause the so-called range anxiety, either because of their capabilities in real-world scenarios or because of improper charging infrastructure, towing a trailer is the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back.
That means that trailer makers must design products specifically for the EV sector. The first efforts in this sense have already been made: there’s a new Polydrop camper made for a small vehicle like a Tesla Model 3, Lordstown has already announced a partnership with Camping World for the Endurance pickup, and the Rivian R1T pickup is being tested for towing large trailers, with a focus on how it affects range. ....
