China company keen to invest in Tanjung Aru mega project, says Hajiji

KOTA KINABALU: A China company wants to invest in the Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) integrated mega project.
Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said CRCC International Investment Group Limited is also keen to invest in other economic sectors in the state.
Hajiji received a delegation from the company, led by its director Frank Y.F. Feng, who paid him a courtesy call at his office on Monday (April 19).
The Chief Minister also said public-listed T7 Global has expressed interest in investing in oil and gas fields under the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip).
A T7 Global delegation led by its deputy executive chairman Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon also paid a courtesy call on Hajiji on Monday. ....

Hajiji wants Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park developed to full potential as petroleum downstream hub

KOTA KINABALU: The Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip) should be developed into a premier petrochemical gas and petroleum downstream activities hub in the region, says Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said that in order for this to be achieved, the Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC) needs to address infrastructure and land readiness among other issues if investors are to be attracted to Sogip.
“Towards this end, SOGDC needs to work hard to ensure the positive growth of Sabah s oil and gas industry and in particular, improve Sogip s position in the petrochemical cluster within the South-East Asia region aside from creating high quality jobs for the people, ” said Hajiji. ....

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor wants Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP) to be developed into its full potential as a premier petrochemical gas and petroleum downstream activity hub in Southeast Asia (SEA).
Nevertheless, he acknowledged that infrastructure and land readiness were among the important issues that must be addressed by the Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC), as the promoter of SOGIP, to attract investors.
Hence, in regard to infrastructure in SOGIP, the chief minister said the state government will play its part by providing funds under Sabah Maju Jaya Halatuju and through federal allocation under the 12th Malaysia Plan. ....
