Meth seized during hotel room raid | News, Sports, Jobs

Law enforcement officials seized over 2 pounds of methamphetamine from two Quality Inn hotel rooms on Warren’s west end over the weekend.
Jonathan E. Crowell, 39, 769 Clark St., Meadville and Ashley R. Vickery, 34, 312 Hazel St., Apt. A, Warren, were charged by Erie-based Pennsylvania State Police in connection with the Saturday raid.
Troopers say in the affidavit of probable cause that search warrants were granted for rooms 305 and 313 at Quality Inn and Suites, 204 Struthers St., Warren, “due to an ongoing narcotics investigation.”
Police say Crowell had rented the rooms but learned that Vickery was staying in 305 while Crowell was staying in 313. ....

Green seeks re-election as DA | News, Sports, Jobs


Warren County District Attorney Rob Greene has announced he will seek re-election as district attorney.
“I consider it an honor and privilege to serve Warren County as your District Attorney,” Greene said. “I am extremely humbled by the support I receive from law enforcement, my colleagues and most importantly, the people of Warren County in keeping Warren County a safe place to live and raise a family.”
Greene, 50, is a native of Warren County. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a member of the Honors College and Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1998 where he was class president. While attending the University of Pittsburgh in 1992, Greene put his education on hold and volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years and was honorably discharged in 2000 as an acting sergeant. In January 2014, Greene took office as Warren County’s district attorney after over 12 years ....

Man charged with buying nearly 15 pounds of marijuana through mail | News, Sports, Jobs

A Pittsfield man is behind bars on charges alleging that he purchased 15 pounds of marijuana in the mail.
Brandon J. Fox, 29, 4735 Davey Hill Rd., was charged by Warren County Drug Task Force investigators on Jan. 13.
Investigators report in the affidavit of probable cause that the postmaster in Pittsfield received an anonymous tip from a female that Fox had received a large amount of “drugs” in the mail.
The postmaster learned that a package had been delivered to Fox the day prior and subsequently contacted the U.S. Postal Inspector in Pittsburgh.
The postal inspectors on Jan. 7 “interdicted a package” addressed to Fix from “Scheels Sporting Goods in Nevada,” per the affidavit. “It was confirmed that this package was not shipped by Scheels and does not meet their shipping standards.” ....

Warren County meth bust ends with 7 indictments


Officials said the seizure of meth was the largest in the county s history.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Seven men have been charged and accused of conspiring to deal large quantities of meth in the Bowling Green area, according to U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman.
Around June 11, 2020 to Aug. 30, 2020, Tyrecus Crowe, George Sanchez, Andre Graham, Michael Padilla, Raymond Derouse Jr., Jeremy Quezada and Brandon Cherry conspired to possess with the intent to distribute meth, according to the indictment. Derouse, Quezada and Cherry each face additional counts for possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance – meth. ....
