Darrell Lynn Thomas, 23, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with having sex with a girl between the ages of 15 and 17, a Class C felony, and of Class C felony corruption of a minor. The incident took place in May 2019, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court.
Charges were filed in February but Thomas was not arrested until Wednesday. He made an initial appearance on the charge on Thursday before Judge Gary Lee, who questioned why it took so long to serve Thomas with the warrant. A prosecutor asked Lee to set bond at $25,000 cash or corporate surety but Lee thought that was too high and set bond at $10,000, with a requirement that Thomas post 10 percent of that. A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Feb. 18. ....
