Staff File Photo/PAUL FRANZ Published: 5/10/2021 3:03:27 PM Education Committee launches Warwick School Redesign Facebook page WARWICK Members of the Warwick Education Committee have launched a Warwick School Redesign Facebook page, which includes past news articles and information from the town newsletters that relate to Warwick’s effort to reopen its elementary school. The Pioneer Valley Regional School District voted to stop using the Warwick Community School building in January 2020. The new page will share information pertaining to ongoing efforts to establish a future independent elementary school. The page is public and accessible to all, even without a Facebook account.

The Warwick Education Committee and Town Lands Trails Study Group developed the plan, which involves creating trails throughout the school property that will be marked with educational signs, as well as viewing platforms and benches. Members of the Town Lands Trails Study Group said marked trails will bring walkers to unique places. The 25-acre grounds contain a cranberry bog, two registered vernal pools and a lily pond.
