Lawsuit filed over Navy special ops training in Wash. state parks

OLYMPIA, Wash. - An environmental group has filed a lawsuit against a Washington state commission over its decision to let the Navy conduct military special operations training in some state parks.
The lawsuit, filed by the Whidbey Environmental Action Network, claims that the decision by the Washington Parks and Recreation Commission violates the state Environmental Policy Act.
The commission voted 4-3 in January to allow the Navy to use some state parks for the military training, with mitigation requirements specific to each park. ....
