Richland County Behavioral Health Urgent Care Facilities To Open In August

Two behavioral health urgent care facilities are planning to open this summer in Richland County.
Joe Trolian, Mental Health and Recovery Services Board Executive Director, said they are finding their services in greater need dealing with the pandemic.
RichlandSource.com reports, no appointments will be needed at the facilities, which will be open Monday – Saturday at one of two locations: Catalyst Life Services on Scholl Road and Family Life Counseling on Marion Avenue. The hope is to be open by August.

MANSFIELD – The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees approved $474,670 in grants during its April board meeting.
Working in collaboration with the City of Mansfield, the Foundation approved grants for splash pads in Johns Park and North Lake Park. The project is supported by three funds at the Foundation: the unrestricted/community fund, Robert and Esther Black Family Foundation Fund and the Fran and Warren Rupp Advised Fund.
The Foundation continues to support summertime programs focused on children. The Summertime Kids Committee Chaired by Foundation Board of Trustee member Jotika Shetty along with members from the community awarded 20 Summertime Kid grants. The grants of up to $2,500 were given to support creative, educational, and fun-filled activities for hundreds of local children. ....

Richland County Foundation Awards Over $1.7M in Grants

The board allocated grants from donor-designated and agency funds. Agency Funds are established by charitable organizations and can be endowed or non-endowed. The agency benefits from the Foundation’s professional asset management, which allows the agency’s staff and board to focus on providing services to their constituents.
Designated Funds provide annual support to the charities selected by the donor. They offer the added benefit that if the organization ceases to exist; the Foundation has the responsibility to ensure that the donor s original intent is met in seeking new suitable organizations.

Snow Trails hosting 'Will Tube for Food' on Wednesday

Proceeds from 15th annual event will go to Catalyst Life Services

MANSFIELD - Snow Trails will host the 15th annual Will Tube for Food event from 5-10 p.m. today at the vertical descent tubing park during glow tubing, with proceeds benefiting Catalyst Life Services.
To participate, people are required to make a reservation online through the event page, plus donate a nonperishable food item at check-in. Snow Trails will donate $5 from each tubing ticket to Catalyst Life Services.
Guests save $5 on two-hour tubing tickets regularly prices at $25 for ages 6 and up and $15 for ages 5 and under when making a reservation online. The discount is shown in cart and no promo code is required. Popular times sell out, so it is recommended to make a reservation as soon as possible to claim a preferred time slot.
