Winona clinic offers free flu vaccines through January

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) People will be able to get free flu vaccines at Main Street Clinic in downtown Winona through the end of January, Winona Health announced Monday.
It takes about two weeks for the flu vaccine to provide immunity, so healthcare providers at Winona Health and Main Street Clinic, located at 107 Fourth Street West, are encouraging those who have not yet been vaccinated to do so soon. Getting vaccinated not only helps protect the person receiving the vaccine, but also everyone they come in contact with.
The CDC recommends everyone six months of age and older get vaccinated every flu season. Children six months through eight years of age may need two doses during a single flu season if this is the first or second season for them getting the vaccine.
