Robert Durst murder trial resumes in Los Angeles after 14-month hiatus, but millionaire suspect ‘willfully absent’

Robert Durst was a no-show in court for the return of his Los Angeles murder trial Monday as a judge denied his emergency request for another delay and release on bail based on his “alarming” health.
The millionaire murder suspect, 78, was expected to appear in custody at the courthouse in Inglewood but apparently refused to attend, the sheriff’s department said in a written report to Judge Michael Windham.
“I’m informed he is willfully absent, that he refused to accept his transportation,” Windham said. ....
