SOLON, OH Patrick McKinney is the new director of information systems for the Solon Schools.
McKinney s hiring was approved by the Solon Board of Education on Monday. He takes over the role Aug. 1. McKinney is replacing Kirk Miller, who is retiring after spending 38 years in the district.
The board approved a two-year contract for McKinney, starting Aug. 1, 2021 and continuing through July 31, 2023. McKinney will work intermittently through the summer alongisde Miller to ensure a smooth transition.

In his new role, McKinney will oversee the operation and maintenance of the district s electronic network and information technology systems, including all hardware and software systems required for overall operations and instructional programs. ....
