Rib sale to benefit Ocala Police Department officer battling cancer: Each slab of ribs is $25, and tickets have to be pre-purchased. Pickup is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 10 at 100 Proof Saloon, 1735 N. Pine Ave., Ocala.
To get tickets, go to FastTrack Staffing at 1028 E. Silver Springs Blvd. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets available through April 7. Tickets also available from OPD Detective Sean Young, 812-2673, and Dan Clark, 812-118 or d.clark@fasttrackse.com.
Officer Jason Douglas was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in late February. Douglas has spent time in the hospital, and his wife has been unable to work. All proceeds will go toward the officer and his family, assisting with home and medical bills. ....
