The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Fiji has received 9 reports of animal cruelty so far this year while 79 reports were received last year.
Clinic and Shelter Manager, Shaneel Narayan says they have received reports where people have abandoned their pet dogs for weeks without food and water and people have thrown hot water on dogs. They have even had to put down injured dogs because of the severity of their infections. ....

Leading local professional golfer Sam Lee has stamped his mark as the player to beat on the 2021 Fiji PGA Tour after triumphing in the deferred 2020 season closing Gecko Trucking/Vuksich and Borich sponsored-President’s Cup at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club course in Nadi.
Lee showed his class to claim the professional title by six shots.
He carded 67 in the first round and 69 in the second round to finish the 36 holes event with an impressive total of eight under par 136. ....
