Delano Forbes to answer to two murder charges next week
Multiple murder accused Delano Forbes will tell the court on Tuesday whether or not he is guilty of two of the four murder charges levied against him.
Twenty-six-year-old Forbes was charged in 2017 for the deaths of Wilfred “Bongo” Williams in Swetes; Shawn Henry in Point; Lisue Williams on All Saints Road, and then Maurison Thomas at Matthews in All Saints in 2018.
It is said that the young man had the sinister practice of drinking the blood of his victims hence earning the moniker, ‘vampire killer.’
When he was apprehended, police reportedly went to an area in Swetes close to where he lived and found two bottles of what appeared to be blood. ....

Two months’ wait for verdict in ‘vampire killer’ wounding case

The fate of Delano Forbes, dubbed ‘the vampire killer’, still hangs in the balance as it relates to his trial for unlawfully wounding a prison officer.
The alleged serial killer now has to wait two months to find out whether Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh believes that he is guilty of wounding Dwight Peters, as three witnesses suggest.
Chief Magistrate Walsh was scheduled to issue her decision yesterday in the St John’s Magistrates’ court, but this along with several other matters were adjourned.
The verdict will now be declared on April 15. ....

The only three witnesses called by the prosecution in the trial against Delano ‘Vampire Killer’ Forbes have testified that the inmate struck a prison officer with an aerosol can in his head.
The 26-year-old multi-murder-accused allegedly wounded prison officer Dwight Peters on October 7 2020 when he tried to restrain him.
Forbes previously pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful wounding before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh.
Now on trial the alleged victim was the first to give sworn evidence.
Peters told the court that on the morning of October 7 the accused was behaving poorly and was therefore asked to conduct himself appropriately. ....
