City officials say Yevin Medley surrendered peacefully Monday shortly before 8 p.m. Prior to the arrest, Medley was considered armed and dangerous. The Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Yevin Medley with felonious assault and reckless homicide, according to Wilmington Police Chief Ron Cravens. ....

AIM Media Midwest WILMINGTON A juvenile faces charges of alleged felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and reckless homicide, a third degree felony, after a deadly shooting Saturday in Wilmington, the city officials announced Monday. The Wilmington Police Department identified Yevin Medley, 14, as the suspect. He remains at-large after an extensive search that began Saturday. The investigation is continuing. On Saturday at 4:37 p.m. police responded to a call in the 400 block of Darbyshire Drive regarding a male who was the victim of a gunshot wound, police said late Sunday afternoon. ....

Officer Lagore During his report, Mayor John Stanforth and other city officials paid tribute to Jason Lagore, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources officer who died in the line of duty. Lagore, 36, of Clarksville, suffered an apparent medical emergency while recently attempting to rescue a 16-year-old girl who fell through the ice at Rocky Fork Lake in Highland County. “He left behind a young widow and two small children,” said Stanforth. “It’s just one of those real tragedies.” ....
