Is Shafter Lake Near My Hometown Of Andrews Haunted?
Every town has a good ghost story. Specifically small towns here in our West Texas area and my little hometown of Andrews, TX is no different. I remember growing up, I would here little tales here and there about a place called Shafter Lake. I knew that it was somewhere outside of Andrews, and little Rebecca vowed to go there one day, maybe when I get older I said.

Good, let it stay there was always my response. I was never brave enough to check out for myself to this day. ....

The loss of such a prominent figure of the Civil Rights Movement only exacerbated Black Americans’ discontent with segregation, redlining, and other forms of institutional racism that had existed in the country for decades. ....
