A grand jury has indicted a Gloucester County teacher on charges that he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old student at school.
The student claimed VanHouten touched her breasts over her clothes after following her into a storage closet connected to a classroom in February 2020, then threatened to fail her if she told anyone about the incident, authorities said.
A Gloucester County grand jury indicted him last month on second-degree charges of sexual assault, endangering and official misconduct. ....
