PARKERSBURG April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month with the theme of this year’s awareness campaign “Growing a Better Tomorrow for All Children, Together.”
The Wood County Partners in Prevention Team sponsored by Children’s Home Society of West Virginia and other community partners are planting Pinwheel Gardens throughout the county this month as reminders everyone has a role to play in children’s lives. ....

Squires joins board at Williamstown Bank | News, Sports, Jobs


Squires succeeded longtime Board Member Dan Stephan effective last week.
Squires, with her husband Michael, are co-owners of Audiology Services of West Virginia, a private audiology practice in Parkersburg. Originally from Elizabeth, she graduated with a bachelor’s of science in speech pathology and audiology from West Virginia University in 2010.
She obtained her clinical doctorate in audiology in 2014 from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium, a partnership of Kent State University, the University of Akron and the Cleveland Clinic. Squires completed her doctoral training at Cleveland Clinic.
Squires is a member of the Rotary Club of Wood County and is a board member at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells. She and her husband reside with their two children in Mineral Wells. ....
