Construction crews work Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 to prepare the site for the new N.K.S. distribution center south of Smyrna on West Big Woods Road, near Willis Chevrolet Buick, between Route 13 and Route 1 which is partly visible at the back left.
By the spring of 2022, N.K.S. Distributors plans to move into a new home south of Smyrna while closing its beer and wine distribution centers in New Castle and Milford.

Emergency crews and Willis Chevrolet Buick mechanics help stuck driver at Smyrna Wawa

An unusual emergency brought firefighters, an ambulance crew and mechanics from a nearby car dealership to the south Smyrna Wawa Wednesday.
At 7:31 a.m., Citizens’ Hose Company of Smyrna and American Legion Ambulance Station 64 were dispatched for a service call at Wawa, 500 Jimmy Drive, near southbound Route 13 and the Route 1 interchange.
When emergency crews arrived, they were directed to a Nissan Altima where the driver had a finger stuck in between the car s front seat rails, according to the fire company s website and confirmed with Citizens Hose Company public information officer Chris Hudson.
The driver was attempting to retrieve a key fob which had fallen beneath the seat. ....
